The Intimate Wellness Institute—also known as the Intimate Wellness Institute of Virginia—is staffed by an award-winning, multidisciplinary team led by Dr. Nathan Guerette. The Greater Richmond Region-based practice and institution actively participates in clinical research surrounding advanced care for women. That includes contributing toward an ever-growing number of FDA-level studies. Under founder and chief medical officer Dr. Nathan Guerette, the Intimate Wellness Institute’s mission is to help women solve their most highly personal issues by providing comprehensive, individualized care to every patient.

The Intimate Wellness Institute specializes in four critical areas of female pelvic medicine. These are  advanced gynecology, aesthetic gynecology, urogynecology, and sexual health. It dedicates itself to providing effective treatment options for each patient’s every concern, no matter how small.

Intimate Wellness Institute History

Dr. Nathan Guerette founded the Intimate Wellness Institute in 2009, dedicated to premiering the most comprehensive platform for female intimate and sexual care, education, empowerment, and wellness. The organization has a long-standing location in Midlothian, Virginia, in the shape of the Intimate Wellness Institute of Virginia at 2931 Polo Parkway, Midlothian, VA 23113.

Intimate Wellness Institute staff have presented and published on over 100 topics at national and international levels. The institute’s co-founder has also contributed significantly to original research surrounding urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgical practices. That includes lecturing and performing surgery in Asia, Australasia, Europe, and South America.

In 2015, the Urogynaecological Society of Australasia chose the Intimate Wellness Institute of Virginia’s chief medical officer, Dr. Guerette, as a high-profile keynote speaker for its annual meeting. He has since chaired numerous other national and international gatherings focused on vaginal laser treatments, vaginal rejuvenation, and vaginal reconstruction.

The Intimate Wellness Institute of Virginia co-founder has further enjoyed election as a Castle Connolly Medical and Richmond Magazine ‘Top Doctor’ honoree. Within Chesterfield County and elsewhere across Virginia, he remains a frequent local media contributor, regularly advising as an expert on an ever-growing roster of highly complex women’s health topics.

Intimate Wellness Institute Personnel

The Intimate Wellness Institute of Virginia is the brainchild of founder and chief medical officer Dr. Nathan Guerette. Dr. Guerette studied at Stony Brook University in New York, graduating with his Doctor of Medicine in 1997. He’s also a fellow of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he studied urogynecology and female pelvic reconstruction between 2002 and 2005.
Elsewhere, Dr. Guerette is the director of robotic surgery at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. It’s a technology-forward role he’s now held for almost a decade. Before establishing the Intimate Wellness Institute and joining Johnston Willis Hospital, he spent several years as the director of urogynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Guerette is also an in-demand biomedical sector consultant and high-tech patent holder. He’s joined at the Intimate Wellness Institute by clinical director Jennifer Reilly and surgical coordinator Rose Thomas. They and their respective teams approach patient’s most intimate issues compassionately and honestly using the latest equipment and treatment options.

The same team routinely engages in various vital charitable endeavors, including surgical mission trips to Africa and South America. Dr. Guerette is committed to advocating for women’s health and providing essential healthcare services to medically underserved communities. By openly advocating for women’s health Dr. Guerette has raised awareness, reduced stigma, and ensured that women have access to the care they need.
